The maiden edition of South-West Secondary Schools Games tagged DAWN Games began on Friday May 16 in Lagos with over 2,000 athletes and officials in attendance. The DAWN Games, which was competed by athletes from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti State, is a 12 sports tournament of Nigeria School Sports Federation, NSSF.
Chess, unlike every other game, is a game of the mind and helps develop the intellect of individuals. Two of our students (Olabode Sefunmi – J.S.S 1 and Ogunrinde Olajesu -J.S.S 2) represented Ekiti State for the game of chess, having won their colleagues within the state with a great margin.
Our students, Sefunmi and Olajesu made the state proud. They both showed great strength and the power of a developed mind as each came back with a Silver and a Bronze respectively.
Here at seed of grace, we will continue to give ourselves to developing generational leaders.
